SPEAKERS

Donna Barrett

Rev. Donna L. Barrett, former general secretary of the Assemblies of God, Springfield, Missouri, will be the guest speaker for the Indiana District Council 2026.

Donna was elected general secretary in 2018. As general secretary of the Assemblies of God, U.S.A., part of the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world, she was a member of the denomination’s Executive Presbytery and was the first woman to serve on its Executive Leadership Team. Donna stewarded the credentialing process of over 38,000 ministers, oversaw the chartering of nearly 13,000 churches and the collection of official statistics.

Prior to becoming general secretary, Donna was a church planter, serving as founder and lead pastor of Rockside Church (Assemblies of God) in Independence, Ohio for 14 years. During that time, she was elected as a General Presbyter and Executive Presbyter 4 years each in the Ohio Ministry Network. Leaving her work as a paralegal to pursue vocational ministry, she became a credentialed minister in 1986, served as a youth pastor 10 years in Youngstown, Ohio and then as an associate pastor 7 years in Parma, Ohio.

Donna’s ministry has been marked with a passion for prayer. As a pastor, she served as coordinator and collaborator in her community for the National Day of Prayer. Her book, Leveling the Praying Field offers practical guides to help readers learn to talk to and hear from God. Resources are available at levelingtheprayingfield.com

Paul Burkhart

Paul and Crystal Burkhart, with their 4 children, have been in full-time ministry for over 25 years and currently serve as Lead Pastors, AGUSM Missionaries, and the Assistant Superintendent of Alaska. They ministered for 9 years as Global Missions Workers in Southeast Asia, leading pioneering teams and helping re-open a closed and communist nation to the Gospel. In 2013, God supernaturally called the Burkhart’s from Asia to Alaska, where they pioneered Alaska Chi Alpha. They served as the Alaska Chi Alpha District directors and lead campus pastors at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for 10 years.

In 2019, they co-founded "Alaska Student Partnership," a marketplace ministry mobilization initiative to recruit and train teams of bi-vocational ministers into Alaska’s remote and under-reached villages. Currently, they serve as lead pastors of Kuskokwim Community Church, a growing network of house churches in villages surrounding Bethel, which serves as the spiritual home and ministry hub for this work. Since 2019, through AKSP and Kuskokwim Community Church, they have trained and sent over 40 ministers and missionaries, established a remote training center in Bethel, and continue to equip, send, and pastor leaders who are planting new expressions of the church in extremely rural communities of Alaska. Their vision is to see healthy, locally rooted churches established in every remote village across Alaska.
